Stevie's Bio Tigertone was born Steve Verhault in Washington D.C. At age five he showed serious interest in the drums and started formal lessons at age seven. He wrote his fist song at age ten and switched to guitar after hearing the recording of Jimi Hendrix version of, The Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock. At age nineteen he began fronting his own band and performed across the south for the next seven years. In 1984, he joined L.A. based Reggae band "Idren" as keyboardist and singer/songwriter. In 1991 he sung and wrote a song on the Scotti Bros album, Acid Jazz Collection Two with Blaq And Wyte.

Since then, he has done numerous studio sessions, some of which include Hakuna Matata as sung by Jimi Cliff for Walt Disney's "The Lion King", produced by Fabian Cooke. Eek-A-Mouse album "Black Cowboy", Big Mountain’s "Free Up" and "Things To Come" albums, "Renegade Survivor" as sung by Wailing Souls for the animated movie "Titan A.E." and Detour Posse’s album "Chariot In The Sky".

His freelance live guitar work is extensive including such top Jamaican artists as Barrington Levy, The Heptones, Michael Rose, Don Carlos, Sean Paul, U-Roy, Wailing Souls, Eek-A-Mouse, Ras Michael, Half Pint, Everton Blender, Triston Palma, Wayne Wonder, Big Mountain, Caribbean Pulse and many, many more. Tigertone is a prolific songwriter, writing over 100 songs in the last two years. One of his most exciting musical experiences was jamming onstage with Carlos Santana several times on tour in 1992.
